Alex Moody

Ortho-Bionomy® Practitioner,

Therapeutic Yoga Instructor

As an Ortho-Bionomy practitioner and therapeutic yoga instructor, Alex Moody is passionate about providing this needed support to help facilitate comfort, ease and self-awareness for her clients. The body is an intelligent system that often gets stuck in patterns as a result of the things we may feel or experience in life. If we can move the body into ease and meet the body where it is, we can then guide these patterns to unwind and observe the body as it restructures and heals itself.

Alex specializes in working with acute pain management as well as chronic pain due to injury. In her Ortho-Bionomy sessions she is able to offer suggestions for self care integrating therapeutic yoga and Ortho-Bionomy techniques. This allows clients to see longer-term results as well as empowers them to understand and be in relationship to their pain. She also works with "highly sensing" clients since she, herself, has had chronic migraine pain in the past due to overwhelm in her nervous system. She understands how to meet these clients with empathy and intuition so that they can move resiliently through their life.

Alex has lived in North Carolina for 14+ years and completed her 500 hr therapeutics training at Asheville Yoga Center. She works privately with clients and teaches Yoga for Comfort and Ease, a 4-week series at Happy Body that integrates the principles of Ortho-Bionomy with approachable yoga poses.
